The new season of the live-action preschool series expands CoComelon's music-led approach to learning with interactive performances, special guests and more.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — July 23, 2026 — Moonbug Entertainment today announced that a brand-new season of The Melon Patch, CoComelon's live-action learning series, premieres July 23 on YouTube, with new 15-minute episodes arriving every other week for little ones and their families to enjoy. Inspired by CoComelon's belief that music helps children connect, remember and learn, each episode invites toddlers and preschool aged kids to sing, dance and play their way through early concepts and everyday life skills.
Led by beloved music teacher Ms. Appleberry (Allie Rivera Quiñonez), The Melon Patch welcomes families into a joyful learning space where learning comes to life through songs, storytelling and hands-on activities. Alongside Mr. Doodad (David Reynolds), Mr. Acorn (Jalen Jaleel) and fan-favorite class pet Jellybean, Ms. Appleberry explores topics like safari animals, weather, shapes and baby animals while encouraging curiosity, creativity and participation every step of the way.
New this season is "Music & Me with Ms. Appleberry," an interactive musical segment featuring acoustic performances by Ms. Appleberry of beloved nursery rhymes and original songs like “Wake Up, Sleepy Lion” alongside real children. The season also welcomes popular children's creators Teacher Peter and Aprende Peque, for special guest appearances and introduces new sing-along moments that invite families to learn through music together.
"For young children, the songs they love often become the lessons they remember," said Meghan Sheridan, CoComelon Senior Creative Executive and mom. "This season expands our music-led approach to learning with even more opportunities for families to sing, move and make joyful memories together."
Moonbug worked with early childhood learning expert Dr. Natascha Crandall to thoughtfully design The Melon Patch to support children's cognitive, language, motor, social-emotional and life skill development through music, movement and play. The season also draws on Moonbug's learning principles, developed in collaboration with the Center for Scholars & Storytellers at UCLA, to guide stories about positive relationships, play, inclusion and real-life moments. Recognized by Common Sense Media for its educational approach, The Melon Patch gives families a trusted series where children don't just watch, they actively participate, helping turn everyday moments into meaningful opportunities to learn together.
