Blippi’s Year of Vehicles continues with Blippi’s Super Silly Vehicle Race, a new special episode premiering August 15, 2026. Combining vehicle-focused learning with racing, challenges and character-driven storytelling, the special puts Blippi and his friends to the ultimate test: What really makes a vehicle fast, and does the Blippimobile have what it takes to win?
Vehicles are one of the topics kids are most curious about, and one of the ways many families first discover Blippi. From monster trucks to excavators, and garbage trucks to race cars, Blippi helps young viewers explore how the vehicles they see every day actually work. Blippi’s Year of Vehicles brings that fascination to life throughout the year with new vehicle-themed adventures across Blippi’s shows, channels, and some of the biggest events in vehicle culture including NASCAR and Monster Jam World Finals.
“We knew we couldn’t make an ordinary race for Blippi – there had to be a racecar, a bulldozer and a few surprises along the way!,” said Lizzy Easterday, Senior Director of Creative Growth at Moonbug Entertainment. “Blippi’s Super Silly Vehicle Race brings all of that together in one colorful, larger-than-life adventure, where epic vehicles, playful challenges and new characters help kids discover what makes a vehicle fast, while celebrating curiosity, teamwork and never giving up. At its heart, it’s what Blippi has always been about: giving kids the most fun way to learn about the world.
The episode also introduces Burt Thunderfoot, a new rival for Blippi whose competitive spirit drives the race forward. Alongside returning characters Meekah, the Halloween King and DJ Bubbles, Burt brings new character dynamics and storytelling to the Blippi world. Together, they compete across land, air and sea, each behind the wheel of custom-built vehicles. Between the laps, the competitors face a super silly mini-game, from an Obstacle Course Tire Race and Balloon Pop Candy Fuel Challenge to the ultimate Red Light, Green Light Freeze Dance.
