A press release (but cooler) by Hendrix Rockstar, Age 10
Manager of The Oddbods Band / Future Music Legend / Champion of the Netherworld

LOS ANGELES, CA — January 16, 2025 — The Oddbods Band, a new alien band just released their very first single. Their awesome manager Hendrix, who's 10 but super smart and awesome and also me, got them signed by Moonbug Entertainment. It’s that company that makes CoComelon and Blippi, you know?
The Oddbods Band are loud, weird, and completely awesome. Their first single is all about farts. It has drums, guitars, and at least one giant toot. It’s out now on all the music apps and YouTube.
Their Backstory
Back on their mysterious and super cool planet ODD, the Oddbods discovered a music device that had crash landed, like a sci-fi movie. They turned it on and BAM! music recordings started playing! They were obsessed right away, even though they don’t speak the language. Music is literally universal, I guess! So anyways, they built a spaceship out of toasters or something, and followed the signal all the way to Earth.
Turns out, the music device was an old phone my dad gave me. It was preloaded with a bunch of awesome live concert recordings, so I added it to my science class’ time capsule and they shot it into space! It’s crazy because it still worked!! And the Oddbods were eventually able to trace it back to my school, and of course, me!
It wasn’t easy for them to adapt to Earth life and they almost signed with a different manager, but that’s a whole other story. What matters is we met and they said, “BLARG WEEEEE” and somehow I just knew what they meant. They wanted to make some sick music. So I said “Bet”. And now we do.
They originally didn’t even know what music was but now they stan it HARD. Their first song is called “When You Fart” because… it’s about farts. And not just any farts, but like, the funniest farts, like sneaky, loud, wet, dry, and worst of all - silent farts!!!
Between Karate class and homework, I found some time to help them put together an EP (The Oddbods thought it meant “Extreme Party”) and somehow convinced Moonbug to sign them using my mom’s Zoom account. They didn’t even realize I was 10 because I’m, like, a big kid now and also super mature for my age. So it worked! The Oddbods Band are now officially Moonbug’s first interstellar signed band.
And Hendrix Awesome Management, LLC (also known as HAM) is thriving. The band practices in my mom’s garage and we are almost out of snacks so feel free to send us cheese puffs.
“They’re smelly, loud, and don’t understand microphones. But they’re also my best friends and I think they’re gonna be famous.”
— My first quote as an awesome manager of The Oddbods Band and probably the youngest music exec ever
Meet The Oddbods Band members
Fuse (drums): loud, red, kind of intense
Jeff (keyboard): fancy, clean freak, plays like a robot
Bubbles (bass): science genius, built their own bass from an umbrella
Pogo (guitar and shaker): bouncy, energetic, never stops dancing
They don’t fully speak English yet, so I help translate their noises into songs. Their music sounds like if The Ramones, The Wiggles, and a blender had a band together. It is very loud and also amazing.
The new single: “When You Fart”💨
It’s their first song ever. It has real instruments and real fart noises. The music video comes out today on YouTube. More songs are coming soon. Topics might include glitter, sandwiches, and a very dramatic chicken.
“BLARGHHHH FWOOOMP”
— The Oddbods Band
(Translated by Me: “We made a song. It is about farts. Please enjoy it.”)
“The Oddbods Band is funny, chaotic, and full of heart,” said Courtney Holt, Managing Director of the Americas at Moonbug Entertainment, and the grown-up who approved this. “It doesn’t talk down to kids. It meets them with music that is loud, weird, and totally relatable. Also since music has gone global we think the next wave of hit music is interstellar (we are a business after all), and ‘When You Fart’ will absolutely blow them away.”
“When You Fart” is streaming now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and everywhere else that doesn’t block songs just for being about butts.
