We are recruiting for is a middleweight social media manager in the brand team.
Social media is an important component of growing the Moonbug brand ; on social media platforms the audience can really get close to the show and come together in a community of parents who love our shows. Social media are cross-promotional channels for us, where we build awareness of distribution platforms, merchandising availability and other brand touch points. It is also a valuable channel for us to gather audience insights and a place where we have a dialogue with parents.
Across brands Moonbug has a total of over 1 million followers on Facebook and Instagram. We are still in the early phase of building our social media presence and you would be a key component of shaping this in collaboration with our social media manager in London.
You would be responsible for the day-to-day creation of posts for two of our US-based brands with a consistent, on-brand tone of voice and strategic overview. Both brands already have high engagement and decent subscriber numbers.
In your day-to-day you will be working closely with the production team in LA and the brand team in London. You will be responsible for the day-to-day content creation, scheduling/posting and reporting. You will also be part of creating and maintaining best practise documents on the social channels and communicate these to the wider team on a regular basis.
This role reports into the Head of Brand and you will be working in an amazing team that is always striving to drive best in class social content to build a trusted global network of parents
2 years minimum experience in a social media agency or in the social media department in a similar content-driven media brand.
Proven ability to grow social following and engagement.
Experience in building and implementing social media strategies.
Understanding of paid, earned etc.
Understand social analytics and compile reports and learnings from the same.
In tune with UK and US popular culture – particularly around the topics of parenting and young kids’ interests.
You are passionate about social media, emerging trends and platforms.
You will have an impeccable grasp of the English language, with accurate spelling, excellent writing skills and be fully focused on attention to detail.
You will have experience of working with video and a full understanding of shooting and editing for social content.
