We are looking to hire a Senior Manager of Consumer Products to help us build our IP intro franchises and expand our popular IP into the consumer products and licensing space.


The Sr Manager, Consumer Products, will develop new business through the strategic mapping of multiple sub-categories within a core line of business (eg Hardlines/Softlines). Success will be driven by the identifying of and securing of, opportunities in market and assessing them jointly with the SAL. 


The successful candidate will develop Joint Business Plans with licensees (local/regional/global).  He/she will focus on large licensees, greater than $30k, and develop joint business plans that will include an agreed overall target, broken down by retailer to deliver the agreed target. The plans will be reviewed bi-weekly at a joint meeting and actions put in place to course correct any variances through the development of retail action plans, or increased demand creation investment.



  • P & L Responsibility – shared development and execution of the P&L and Budgets for designated licensees with revenues greater than $30k 

  • Budget development and management.

  • Ensure targets are met as a minimum with a plan to over-achieve.

Customer Strategy

  • Support the SLA on setting a joint business plan by licensee

  • Devise, communicate, and execute a strategy for the licensee, consistent with the overall consumer products strategy.

  • Present and agree strategy, internally and with licensee.

  • Define and manage investment priorities across categories and franchises

  • Make recommendations to the SLA for exploring new business opportunities with the licensee

  • Review progress regularly against strategic and JBP goals with the licensee and the Business Unit Director.

Joint Business Plans

  • As part of a joint business planning process develop, agree, and execute category, franchise and retail plans with the licensee, to drive mutual profitable growth. 

  • Develop account plans with the licensee which maximise opportunities across all formats – bricks and mortar stores, online and leverages cross-functional opportunities.

  • Work with other key stakeholders, to optimize and implement agreed plans.

Client & Stakeholder Management 

  • Act as an ambassador for Moonbug. 

  • Own the licensee JBP and seek expert support when and where required.

  • Develop senior level contacts in licensee and work with Moonbug management on ‘Top to Top’ meetings. 

  • Lead the communication internally with relevant stakeholders.

  • Lead a cross functional virtual Team to achieve fiscal plan.


Sales Administration + processes

  • Operate within specified standards.

  • Keep sales administration and licensee files up to date and accurate.

  • Manage licensee investment plan

  • Regular use and interpretation of sales reports, consumer data, insights and ROI analysis.

  • Lead account forecasting process for defined licensee


Special Projects

  • Manage and deliver projects as agreed with the SAL and in-line with personal development plan.


Areas of Accountability

  • Accountable for meeting targets and growing the business across all categories. 

  • Accountable for the deployment of the JBP across defined licensees.

  • Budget and P & L accountability for designated Customer group and categories within it. 

  • Accountable to the SLA and GM of the Americas.

  • Accountable for delivering and administering the trade marketing budget.


  • Graduate calibre, with an excellent commercial understanding of business.

  • 5+ years of experience in managing major licensees in a commercial function.

  • Experience setting up senior Customer relationships essential.

  • Experience developing and delivering Joint Business plan essential.

  • Blue-chip background preferred.

  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to lead and motivate sales agents.

  • A strategic and independent thinker, making Moonbug a leader in the market.

  • Able to build strategic alliances externally and internally.
